Microneedling Treatments

SkinPen is the first microneedling device cleared by the U.S Food and Drug Administration, clinically proven to safely and effectively treat facial acne scars for ages 22 and up. It causes controlled micro-injuries that stimulate your body’s natural wound healing process, while minimizing cellular damage. The result is effective remodeling of scar tissue, while keeping the overall structure of the skin intact.

There are three phases to the wound repair process

Phase 1: Inflammation

Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.

Phase 2: Proliferation

The wound is rebuilt with new granulation cells, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develop.

Phase 3: Remodeling

The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels.

Little to no downtime and there are virtually no side effects. Some companies sell at-home microneedling devices, but reports of infections, permanent scarring and allergic reactions have arisen, forcing many of these manufacturers to take their products off the market. When done safely, with the correct, non-irritating products applied following the procedure, microneedling is very effective when used with an FDA approved device.
We normally recommend a series of 3-5 treatments. Our clients see improvement in fine lines, diminished pore size, improved acne scarring and overall texture of the skin.

I have been going to Dr Mope for laser hair removal on my lower legs. I tried laser hair removal move 10 years ago without ANY success.
